Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Teacher: Special Education, Behavior and Intervention to support student emotional, social, and behavioral health within the classroom. You will implement ABA-type strategies, develop IEPs/BIPs, and coordinate with families and staff to promote positive outcomes.

The position reports to the Director of Special Education or the Director of Psychological Services and requires Texas Special Education certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mental Health, or related field required.
• 3 years' teaching experience in Special Education required.
• Valid Texas Special Education Certification or Teaching Certification required.
• BCBA Certification preferred; ESL Certification preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral intervention strategies for students, staff, and families.
• Develops and implements IEPs and Behavioral Improvement Plans (BIP).
• Offers training and consultation to parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Maintains confidential records and coordinates with district staff.
