Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Education/Certification in one of the required areas.
• Experience working with students with significant behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education students with appropriate learning activities.
• Collaborate with parents and staff in the development of IEPs.
• Implement district’s behavioral system to manage student behavior.
• Assess students' progress and modify teaching strategies accordingly.
• Provide behavior training and support to staff.

Skills

Ability to develop IEP including behavior intervention plans

Knowledge of curriculum

Experience designing behavioral interventions

Knowledge of federal and state rules governing education

Ability to work cooperatively

Experience providing professional development
