Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks an assistant teacher to work with small groups and support individualized student services in K-12 settings.

You will follow SESI’s rotational instructional model, track progress, and collaborate with teachers and other staff to meet students’ academic and behavioral goals. Qualifications include a high school diploma (college experience or a bachelor's degree preferred) and experience with students with special needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• College experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction and implement the SESI model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavior and academic support.
• Assign relevant tasks and use data to determine appropriate materials, including one‑on‑one tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and supervision.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies; implement de‑escalation techniques as needed.
• Support daily plans and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise students and coordinate with other teachers and related service providers.

Education
