Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant Special Education II - Support - Part Time for Roosevelt Elementary School in Mesa, AZ. You will assist certified staff with monitoring and instruction of students with IEPs, support daily living activities, and help maintain materials and data collection.

Responsibilities include small group instruction, behavior support plans, and collaboration with the SPED team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits required or pass the ParaPro Test.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience welcome.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work under teacher direction and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in development and maintenance of instructional materials.
• Monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals using district tools.
• Modify curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Support safe, positive learning environments across classrooms and playgrounds.
• Assist with routine clerical tasks and student transportation during transitions.
