Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to apply training.
• License: Valid New Mexico driver’s license and possession of, or ability to obtain, mandated Educational Assistant license and Substitute Teacher license as required by the District or State of New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to students with special education needs under supervision of the special education teacher.
• Ensure safety of students in school and community settings.
• Implement and monitor behavioral plans; collect data for progress monitoring.
• Assist in preparing materials and equipment for classroom lessons; support instructional activities.
• Provide tutoring and support for students to meet individualized goals.
