Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Possession of valid New Mexico driver’s license.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, mandated Educational Assistant license and Substitute Teacher license as may be required by the District or State of New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Support the special education teacher and students with disabilities.
• Ensure safety of students in school and community settings.
• Implement behavior plans and collect progress data.
• Prepare materials and set up equipment for lessons.
• Provide tutoring and assist with daily living skills.
