Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department. The role may involve aiding students with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet health and safety requirements including CPR (if applicable), TB screening, and a valid health certificate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification (if applicable) may be required.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray may be required.
• Current health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• May provide support for personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
