Job summary

Bath Elementary School is seeking a special education paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in classroom and school settings. The role collaborates with the special education teacher and general education staff to deliver instruction, implement IEPs and behavior plans, and help students participate in the life of the school.

The paraprofessional is supervised by the building principal and works as part of the educational team to implement goals and supports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours preferred.
• Criminal history checks required.
• CPR/First Aid, physical management/de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support aligned with IEPs in small groups.
• Implement accommodations and collect progress data.
• Assist with mobility and personal care as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and participate in IEP meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
