Job summary

New Story Schools in Camp Hill, PA is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students ages 5–21 with autism and developmental challenges. You will work with teachers to implement individualized goals and provide direct support in academics, behavior, and daily living skills.

You’ll help implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under guidance, assist with transitions and self-care tasks, and track progress to foster a safe, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 3+ months experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
