Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Special Education Aide to support teachers in daily instruction and care of students with disabilities in a South Carolina classroom. This paraprofessional role works under the supervision of the building principal and classroom teachers to help monitor instructional, personal, and behavioral needs of students.

The position involves assisting with IEPs, supporting individual or small group instruction, supervising student transitions, and collecting data on progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 60 college credit hours or ParaPro
• Paraprofessional knowledge includes assisting with instruction, behavior support, and data collection.
• Ability to read, write, and assist with procedure manuals and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of IEPs under teacher direction
• Help with small group instruction and classroom support
• Escort and supervise students during transitions and at arrival/departure
• Collect and report student performance data to teachers
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain student records
• Support behavioral management plans and safety procedures
• Participate in required staff development and training
