Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs seeks an Instructional Aide to join its Special Education team. You will support students in Grades K-12, assisting with IEP implementation and personalized instruction in classroom and community settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, behavioral supports, and documentation of student progress to empower learners with diverse needs and help them reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• CA driver’s license or ability to obtain.
• Crisis management training certification preferred.
• Paraprofessional/teacher assistant credential preferred.
• Experience supporting children, preferably in special education or behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a welcoming, high-achieving learning environment.
• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor and support students during lessons, ensuring understanding.
• Track student progress and communicate with teachers on outcomes.
• Support positive behavior with consistent, developmentally appropriate interventions.
• Assist with documentation, reports, and daily activity logs.
