Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our Special Education team, supporting students in Grades K-12 with personalized instruction and supervision in classroom and community settings.

You will work closely with educators to implement IEPs, track progress, and help students develop essential skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive, student-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience with instruction/support for children, especially in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management training certification.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support aligned to student goals.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers on achievements and needs.
• Manage student behavior in line with school policies in classroom and community settings.
• Document student behaviors and performance, and prepare reports for staff and families.
