Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in Buena Park, CA seeks an Instructional Aide to support High School students with individualized instruction and behavioral plans. You will work closely with teachers to implement IEPs, monitor progress, and help students develop essential academic and life skills in both classroom and community settings.

Responsibilities include assisting with behavioral interventions, documenting progress, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic skills test
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred
• Valid CA driver's license or ability to obtain
• Crises management certification or ability to obtain
• Experience with autism spectrum disorders and special education preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and organization

Responsabilités

• Assist with implementing IEPs and personalized instruction
• Support teachers in classroom and community-based activities
• Monitor student behavior and apply consistent positive interventions
• Document student progress and report observations to staff
• Assist with reporting and daily activity logs
• Communicate with families and staff regarding student needs and achievements
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and participate in accreditation activities
• Support students in developing social, vocational, and life skills
