Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Buena Park, CA is seeking an Instructional Aide to support high school students with special education needs. You will work with classroom teachers to implement IEPs, provide individualized instruction, and monitor progress to help students achieve their goals.

You will collaborate with staff, maintain confidential records, and assist with behavior management, documentation, and community-based activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in education or related field preferred.
• Able to obtain CA driver's license.
• Experience with autism spectrum disorders and special education helpful.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with driving students in a company van.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to create supportive learning environments.
• Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support.
• Monitor progress and communicate with staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Assist with daily documentation and reporting.
• Support students in community settings and during transportation.
• Participate in accreditation and meetings.
• Support family communications.
