Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking an instructional assistant for on-site work at a high school in Virginia. The role provides classroom and environmental supports under the direction of a special education teacher to students with IEPs across general and special education settings.

The position includes assisting with instructional activities, record-keeping, materials preparation, and implementing accommodations as outlined in the IEP.

Qualificações

• Skill in use of computer, duplicating equipment and various assistive technology devices.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise children in the absence of the special education teacher; to perform basic clerical tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Assist special education teachers with classroom duties, including recording grades and preparing instructional materials.
• Support students during instructional activities (one-on-one, small groups, whole group) as directed by the teacher.
• Supervise students on/off the bus and during meals as indicated in the IEP.
• Assist with toileting, personal care, and basic healthcare needs as indicated in the IEP.
