Santa Barbara County Education Office is seeking an Accounting Technician in Special Education to provide technical budget and accounting support, processing and auditing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing accurate financial records and reports.

You will also manage accounts payable, monitor budgets and grant funds, and support year-end close, partnering with SBCEO staff, vendors, and outside agencies to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• Three years of clerical accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
• Public sector or public school experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform complex and technical budget and accounting duties.
• Maintain, review, audit, and adjust assigned accounts.
• Process, record, and audit various transactions; reconcile and maintain financial records.
• Prepare reports and statements and support year-end close.
• Collaborate with SBCEO staff, vendors, and outside agencies to ensure compliance.
