Job summary

Accel is a private, nonprofit organization for children and young adults with special needs, ages 5-22.

The position develops and implements individualized education plans, evaluates student progress, communicates with parents, and maintains accurate records in a 10-month program in Phoenix.

You will supervise paraprofessionals, apply behavior interventions, coordinate IEP scheduling, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support therapeutic and educational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education is required.
• Arizona Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement is required.
• Background check and fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Provide ongoing evaluations of students' progress and recommendations.
• Maintain a professional relationship with parents/caregivers and inform progress.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping system.
• Provide supervision to paraprofessionals and implement behavior interventions.
• Coordinate IEP scheduling and participate in MET and IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement programs.
