Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks an Associate Director to advance student potential by collaborating with teachers to deliver individualized services.

The role includes monitoring progress, communicating with parents, and reinforcing learning through SESI’s model. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, credentials in education, and strong preference for experience with students with emotional disabilities.

Qualifications

• Credentials in Education or similar field.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all students are being educated in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Observation of classrooms on a regular basis both formally and informally.
• Weekly staff meetings for information sharing and issue discussion.
• Attending Regional activities including a weekly Director’s Meeting.
• Attending and participating in a monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; showing growth.
• Reporting facilities issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Communicating with parents, supervisors, and district personnel.
• Involving parents in the educational program and providing parent education events.
• Ensuring state licensing policies relating to health, safety and well‑being are followed.
• Forging and maintaining stakeholder relationships with district officials and parents.
