Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. seeks an Associate Director to advance student outcomes in our special and alternative education settings.

You will oversee IEP-driven instruction, lead staff, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and district personnel to deliver high-quality services. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and credentials in education, plus extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Credentials in Education or similar field
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities is strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred
• Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all students are being educated in accordance with their IEPs
• Observation of classrooms on a regular basis and provide staff feedback
• Weekly staff meetings to share information, suggestions and issues
• Attend and participate in Regional activities including a weekly Director’s Meeting
• Participate in monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; demonstrate growth and goal completion
• Report facilities issues to the appropriate department for resolution
• Communicate with parents, supervisors, and district personnel
• Involve parents in the educational program and provide parent education events
• Ensure state licensing health and safety policies are followed and compliant
• Forge and maintain stakeholder relationships with district officials and parents
