Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a Director of Special Education to collaborate with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program.

The Instructional Specialist will mentor classroom staff and work across departments on implementing programs, including onboarding new staff. Qualifications

• PA Level 2 Special Education Certificate required.
• Experience coaching staff preferred.
• Strong professional communication, oral and written.
• Ability to record and analyze data using Excel and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage and assess needs for special education programs.
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding campus staff.
• Develop and implement transition planning and services (Indicator 13).
• Maintain IEP database and student file scan database.
• Prepare and attend students’ IEP meetings; ensure proper documentation and ISBE compliance.
