CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services at Hill Top Academy in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. The position follows the academic calendar and pays $24.00/hour, with 5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date).

The Special Education Paraprofessional will work on student days with responsibilities including instructional, behavioral, and personal support, assisting with IEPs and 504 Plans, reinforcing learning,

Formación

• High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB
• 2 years post secondary, Associate's Degree or higher - preferred
• Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred

Responsabilidades

• Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.
• Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.
• Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.
• Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
• Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.
• Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.
