Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Parapro Sp Ed - SLD Self Cont to support students with special needs across regular and special education settings. The role involves assisting with instruction, behavior monitoring, IEP participation, and collaboration with teachers to reinforce learning objectives.

The position requires a Georgia PSC Paraprofessional certificate or equivalent, a high school diploma or GED, and completion of the Praxis/ GACE Parapro assessments or approved college

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required and Parapro assessment or PSC alternative.
• 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours from PSC-approved college required.
• Paraprofessional educator certificate issued by PSC required.

Mansioni

• Support instructional program in assigned classroom for special needs students.
• Reinforce IEP goals and monitor behavior during non-classroom time.
• Attend IEP meetings and communicate with school personnel.
• Adapt activities and materials to support instruction.
• Administer first aid and provide basic medical assistance as instructed.
• Assist with data collection, attendance, and record keeping.
