Job summary

Sylvania is hiring paraeducators for special education programs. You will assist in instruction, support students with disabilities, and help manage behavior in classroom and resource settings.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, maintaining records, and collaborating with staff. Requires relevant certifications and the ability to work with students in various settings. Start date and location are in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with certification due within 30 days.
• 60 semester credits/90 quarter credits or associate degree or ParaPro exam documentation.
• Good communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and handle toileting and self-care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students with disabilities in various settings.
• Manage behavior by redirecting or removing disruptive students.
• Monitor and record student progress in academics, daily living, and social skills.
• Supervise students and maintain regular attendance as required.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

60 sem credits/90 qtr credits or AA or ParaPro exam

Good communication skills

Ability to lift 40 pounds
