Job summary

Salary is $139.00 per day, with potential to continue as a per diem substitute after the assignment. The role supports students with disabilities, assists the classroom teacher, and implements behavior plans and ABA strategies.

Qualifications

• Flexibility with respect to age groups and assignments.
• Experience with elementary students with significant learning and social/emotional needs.
• Experience implementing Behavior Intervention Plans and understanding functions of behaviors.
• Ability to learn ABA methodology and techniques.
• Ability to support students with de-escalation and executive functioning skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student data as directed by teachers.
• Follow and implement behavior support plans.
• Support classroom teacher and students according to needs.
• Assist with student learning using knowledge of learning styles and development.
• Adapt assistance based on classroom guidance.
• Provide verbal support, prompting, redirection, and modeling in activities.
