Job summary

Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools is hiring an Education Support Professional to assist the classroom and special education teacher in supporting students with disabilities. The role focuses on academic, social-emotional, and physical development under licensed supervision.

The ESP will implement IEP goals, participate in data collection, and promote inclusive practices while working 6.5 hours per day, 182 days per year, Monday through Friday. Training and district policies apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Complete Personal Care Assistance Training prior to working with students.
• Ability to pass Paraeducator Assessment (or two years college/AA or 3 years ESP experience with training).

Responsibilities

• Works directly with students, individually or in small groups, on academic, behavioral, physical, and social-emotional skills.
• Assists with implementing students' IEP goals/objectives.
• Collaborates with teachers to support instruction and IEP goals.
• Supervises students in various settings including lunch, recess, and classroom activities.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports a positive learning environment.
