Job summary

Marlborough Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher (Moderate Needs) for Whitcomb Middle School to deliver high-quality instruction and data-driven supports for students with IEPs. This position works under the Deputy Superintendent and building Principal, promoting inclusive practices and family collaboration.

The role requires a Master’s degree in special education, MA licensure for Moderate/Severe and SEI endorsement, with bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in special education or related field.
• Valid Massachusetts DESE licensure in Special Education (Moderate/Severe) for grades 6-8.
• Experience with inclusion settings and adapted instruction.
• SEI Endorsement.
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred.
• Knowledge of data-driven instruction and IEP processes.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect instructional support to students per their IEPs.
• Develops and implements IEPs with measurable goals.
• Collaborates with general education teachers to modify curricula for students with disabilities.
• Analyzes progress data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Communicates with families and partners with outside agencies.
• Maintains accurate student records and reports.
