Job summary

Marlborough Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Moderate Special Needs) for Goodnow Brothers Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. The teacher will promote learning, provide high-quality instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with families and staff to support all students.

The role requires MA DESE licensure in Special Education (Moderate Needs, K-5), SEI endorsement, and experience with inclusive settings. Bilingual applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Special Education (Moderate Needs, K-5) is required.
• Experience in inclusion, small group and individual settings.
• SEI Endorsement.
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred).
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered by the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect instructional support to students as per their IEPs.
• Develops and implements IEPs with measurable goals and objectives.
• Ensures compliance with IEPs and maintains accurate records and reports.
• Collaborates with general education teachers to modify the general education curriculum for students with disabilities.
• Analyzes assessment results to adjust practice and identify differentiated interventions and enhancements for all students.
• Collaborates with parents, outside agencies and building staff.
• Fulfills professional responsibilities; timely and reliable with paperwork and duties.
