The Marlborough Public Schools seek a Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher (Moderate Needs) to support students at Charles W. Whitcomb School for the 2024-25 school year.

You will implement IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and staff to promote inclusive, high-quality instruction. Responsibilities include data-driven instruction, record-keeping, and adapting materials for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts DESE licensure in Special Education in Moderate Needs, covering grades 6-8.
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred from an accredited institution.
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred.
• SEI Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect instructional support to students as per their IEPs.
• Develops and implements IEPs with measurable goals and objectives.
• Ensures compliance with IEPs and timelines maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborates with families, caregivers and community members to promote learning.
• Differentiates instruction and collaborates with general education teachers.
• Analyzes assessments to adjust instruction and plan interventions.
