Job summary

Cleveland State University’s Engaged Learning unit seeks a professional to advance its Special Collections program. You will preserve, describe, and provide access to rare materials while supporting research, instruction, and outreach activities for a diverse user base.

Responsibilities include developing exhibits and public programs, coordinating with faculty and community partners, and delivering instruction and reference services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program, or equivalent national accreditation.
• Several years of experience with special collections, archives, or cultural heritage materials.
• Proficiency with research support and instructional services.

Responsibilities

• Develops, manages, and promotes CSU Special Collections.
• Designs, implements, and manages exhibits, programs, and outreach activities.
• Provides specialized research support and instructional services to students, faculty, staff, and community users.
• Collaborates with campus and community partners to promote discovery and use of materials.
