Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University’s Eberly Family Special Collections Library seeks a Special Collections Instruction & Program Coordinator to connect students, faculty, researchers, and community members with rare books, archives, manuscripts, and other distinctive collections. You will coordinate instructional programs, educational visits, and related activities across the Research Services team.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating projects, programs, or operations in library/archives/higher education.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and use good judgment.
• Experience collecting, maintaining, or reporting data for assessment or planning.
• Proficiency with common office software and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all Special Collections instruction and educational visit requests from inquiry to completion.
• Serve as primary contact for faculty, instructors, and campus/community groups.
• Manage scheduling, spaces, collections availability, and related logistics for learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align instructional sessions with course objectives.
• Provide operational support for sessions and events including materials and tech.
• Maintain calendars, workflows, and documentation for consistent service delivery.
