Job summary

Concord Hospital in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a designated inpatient specialty area. The RN 2 will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for a population-specific patient group within a safe and therapeutic environment.

Expected responsibilities include data gathering, clinical judgment, care planning, documentation, medication administration, and supervision of licensed/unlicensed staff as needed, reporting to the Director/Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to plan and evaluate patient care.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Bases nursing actions on organized clinical judgment and decisions.
• Gathers data through history and physical assessment and interprets it to plan interventions.
• Develops and revises the plan of care as patient needs change.
• Documents care and patient progress toward outcomes.
• Directs and supervises others in delegated nursing activities.
• Educates patients and families about the plan of care and post-discharge management.
• Manages time and resources to deliver patient care.
• Administers medications to patients.
