Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience as a sterile processing technician within the last 12 months; or graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program within the last 12 months.
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• To ensure proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Report malfunctions or questionable loads to the Lead Technician or Supervisor.
• Maintain shift reports and communication logs.
• Label and track sterilizer loads; perform biological and vacuum testing.
• Disassemble, load, inspect, reassemble and deliver surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist with inventory, scheduling and on-call duties.
