Job summary

ESS Staffing Services, working with Clare-Gladwin RESD, seeks part-time Activity Leader for SPARKS/Ignite afterschool programs at Beaverton, Farwell, Harrison, and related locations. The role is 2.75 hours per day after school, with positions 2 or 4 days per week, starting ASAP with orientation.

Ideal candidates will have experience with students, the ability to lead activities, and reliable attendance; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in corresponding grade levels preferred.
• Ability to lead and supervise activities and maintain a positive, safe and inclusive environment.
• Reliable attendance. As a condition of employment employee must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, engaging, and inclusive afterschool activities for small groups (≤15 students).
• Assist in creating program activities and projects based on student interests and goals.

LOCATIONS:
Beaverton Elementary School, Beaverton Junior/Senior High School, Farwell Middle School, Harrison Middle School, and Harrison Larson Elementary.

WORK DAYS:
After school, 2.75 hours per day (positions available are 2-days/week and 4-days/week)

WAGES:
$16.48 per hour

STARTING DATE:
As soon as possible, with pre-service orientation prior to start.

JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Activity Leader will generally work with sessions of 15 students or less and will lead safe, engaging, and inclusive afterschool activities that promote positive youth development and support student growth. Site leaders will assist the Activity Leader in creating appropriate program session activities and projects based on student interest and program goals.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
