Job summary

The Clare-Gladwin RESD is seeking an Afterschool Clubs Coordinator to connect existing school and community clubs with SPARKS/Ignite afterschool programs and to expand access to meaningful club opportunities.

As part of the SPARKS/Ignite team, you will liaise with program leadership, site coordinators, school personnel, and families to identify student interests and develop new clubs that meet their needs and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Teaching certificate or education experience per MOST Standards of Quality.
• Experience coordinating programs, clubs, partnerships, events, or enrichment activities is preferred.
• Experience working with school-age students in afterschool, educational, recreational, or youth-development settings is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, partnerships, and meet deadlines.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with SPARKS/Ignite staff, students, families, school personnel, and community organizations.
• Ability to recognize and respond to students' interests, strengths, and needs.
• Commitment to providing inclusive and engaging opportunities for all students.

Responsibilities

• Connect existing school and community clubs with SPARKS/Ignite afterschool programs.
• Work closely with program leadership, site coordinators, school personnel, club advisors, students, families, and community partners.
• Identify student interests and develop new clubs based on their needs.
• Support collaboration between SPARKS/Ignite and current clubs and collect feedback to expand access.
