Job summary

S&ME invites enrolled students to join the 2027 Spark Summer Internship – Civil/Environmental/Construction/Geotechnical Engineering in Tampa, FL. This 12-week full-time program runs May 2027 through August 2027, offering hands-on experience, mentorship from professional owners, and exposure to diverse projects within Environmental Services.

Open to current students from various backgrounds; housing is not provided. Visa assistance not offered.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Out of town travel may be required.
• For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required.
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced professionals within your area of interest.
• Be part of an intern cohort and learn about all aspects of S&ME.
• S&ME's internship provides hands-on experience and professional development.
• Support project teams within Environmental Services during the 12-week program.
