Job summary

Apis Services, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a SPARK Employment Specialist to coordinate pre-vocational and job planning services and provide supported employment to individuals seeking Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE).

The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus related experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and involves data collection, reporting, collaboration with SPARK Navigator, and driving participants to appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Clean background record required.
• Must pass a drug screening prior to hire; and randomly thereafter.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year experience in human services.
• Experience with IDD population preferred.
• Strong belief in CIE for individuals with IDD.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with clean Driving Record and proof of current insurance.
• Must have NCI CORE certification.
• May be required to receive Hepatitis B Immunization.
• May be required to obtain First Aid Certification/CPR.
• May be required to have Medication Administration Certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to wake enterprises code of ethics and ensures no abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Receives referrals, conducts initial interviews, and assists SPARK Navigator with service plans.
• Develops and monitors service plans to meet participant needs and CIE goals.
• Identifies barriers to employment and helps participants address them.
• Collects and maintains data; completes required reporting for the SPARK grant.
• Coordinates with participants’ families, caregivers and team members for integrated services.
• Maintains confidentiality and ensures participant safety and data integrity.
