Job summary

Wayland Public Schools is seeking a substitute High School Spanish Teacher for a leave of absence from November 2 to December 22, 2026. You will teach five high school Spanish sections, foster belonging, and ensure equitable opportunities in line with the Massachusetts frameworks.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in secondary education (Masters preferred), Massachusetts licensure, and SEI endorsement. Strong communication, collaboration with counselors and parents, and commitment to DEI are

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
DESE licensure in relevant content area is required.
SEI Endorsement mandatory.

Responsibilities

Teach five sections of high school Spanish.
Create an inclusive classroom environment.
Provide equitable opportunities for all students.
Align instruction with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district standards.
Collaborate with Academic Support, counselors, and parents to support students.
