Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Spanish bilingual (spoken and written) required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in healthcare or insurance plans is a plus.
• Strong investigative and researching skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients and screen for WC/NF insurance on cases referred by client hospital, either over the phone or in person.
• Review and validate insurance information.
• Research and verify patient contact information using search engines and hospital systems and annotate hospital system with daily notes.
• Research and resolve pending WC/NF issues.
• Update internal database with all work completed on accounts and communicate actions to the Supervisor.
• Use, protect and disclose patients’ PHI only in accordance with HIPAA standards.
