Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Medicaid Field Coordinator to help patients complete Medicaid applications for hospital clients. You will meet with patients at bedside, in their homes, or other locations to gather information and drive the application process, ensuring prompt payment to hospitals.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, travel to hospitals and patient homes, and the ability to manage documentation and coordinate with social services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Notary Public Certification is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet patients and screen Medicaid eligibility on cases referred by client hospital.
• Enroll patients in health insurance via Marketplace or by completing paper applications.
• Review, validate and process confidential information.
• Travel to hospitals and patients' homes to screen for Medicaid eligibility and complete applications.
• Coordinate with local social services to obtain patient information and finalize paperwork.
• Enter and scan new account information into the firm’s database and generate reports.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI and communicate with third parties as needed.
