Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Patient Liaison to work onsite in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ. You will contact patients to screen for WC/NF insurance, validate their information, and resolve issues while carefully handling PHI in line with HIPAA and security policies.

You will use hospital systems and external sites to verify details, update records, and communicate with supervisors. Strong Spanish, research, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Healthcare or insurance knowledge is a plus.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
• Ability to use the internet and learn databases.
• Strong investigatory and researching skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients and screen for WC/NF insurance on cases referred by client hospital, either over the phone or in person.
• Review and validate insurance information.
• Research and verify patient contact information using search engines and hospital systems and annotate daily notes.
• Research and resolve pending WC/NF issues.
• Retrieve information from hospital databases.
• Verify insurance coverage by using various websites or by calling insurance companies.
• Update internal database with all work completed on accounts.
• Obtain and send mail and correspondence to Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with HIPAA policies and protect PHI at all times.
