Job summary

Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition in Knoxville is seeking a Part‑Time Temporary Community Organizer. Based in Knoxville, you will connect immigrant and refugee communities to campaigns and leadership opportunities, reporting to the Senior Director of Organizing and Leadership Development.

The role requires English and Spanish fluency, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Ability to meet deadlines, stay organized and work with limited supervision.
• Experience in community organizing and outreach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hold meetings to deepen relationships and identify leadership opportunities.
• Build a base of engaged leaders to inform advocacy campaigns.
• Facilitate engagement of diverse communities in civic action and campaigns.
• Support mobilization to increase participation and membership growth.
• Lead outreach to share information about services and opportunities.
• Represent TIRRC at events and maintain data in the database.
