FUTURO, Inc. is seeking two dedicated organizers to connect immigrant and refugee communities in Middle TN with campaigns and leadership opportunities. Hire within Nashville/Clarksville/Murfreesboro area, strong communication and organizing skills desired.
Position supports time-sharing with TIRRC Votes. Responsibilities include community organizing, education on Know Your Rights, and representing the organization at events.
Middle TN Multicultural Community Organizer
Middle Tennessee (e.g., Nashville, Clarksville, Murfreesboro areas)
Part‑Time, 15‑20 hours per week. Non‑Exempt.
The Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) is a statewide, immigrant and refugee‑led collaboration. Our mission is to build power, amplify our voices, and organize communities to advocate for our rights. Our vision is a stronger, more inclusive Tennessee where people of all nationalities, immigration statuses, and racial identities can belong and thrive. TIRRC has a sister organization, TIRRC Votes, which is a separate nonprofit exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(4). Although the two organizations share a common goal, they have separate boards. Certain employees, including the person filling this position, share time between the two organizations.
TIRRC is seeking two dedicated organizers to work with our organizing team to connect individuals from one of Middle TN’s many immigrant and refugee communities to TIRRC’s campaigns and leadership development opportunities. The ideal candidate is an established leader within an immigrant and refugee community in the Nashville, Clarksville, or Murfreesboro area, with strong communication and organizing skills.
