UnityPoint Health is seeking a bilingual Spanish medical interpreter to facilitate real-time interpretation across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and procedural settings. The role supports understanding of diagnoses, treatments, patient rights, and discharge instructions, with an emphasis on confidentiality and cultural responsiveness.

The position is PRN As Needed, with day shift availability and flexible hours.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Nursing, Communications or related field preferred.
• Completion of a 40-Hour Medical Interpretation course preferred.
• Ability to pass a medical interpreting assessment prior to hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide real-time interpretation between patients, families and healthcare providers.
• Convey information accurately without altering meaning.
• Interpret across in-person, video, and phone encounters in various care settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and neutrality at all times.
• Assist with informed consent and complex care communications.
