Intermountain Health interpreters are needed for PRN assignments at LDS Hospital and Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. The role requires expert-level medical terminology knowledge and the ability to interpret accurately across multiple modes for patients, families, and staff.

Flexibility to cover weekdays, weekends, evenings, and night shifts is essential. A 40-hour interpreter course and professional ethics are specified; EPIC experience is a plus.

Formación

• Completion of a 40-hour professional medical interpreter course.
• Able to interpret in consecutive, simultaneous and sight translation.
• Demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret medical information accurately in multiple modes (consecutive, simultaneous, sight).
• Act as a cultural mediator with sensitivity to intercultural contexts.
• Maintain accurate records of interpretation events and use appropriate research and data entry tools.
