Job summary

Harris County Elections is seeking a bilingual (Spanish–English) candidate to review election materials in Spanish, assist with ballot proofing, and help prepare ballot translations and IVR recordings. You will respond to inquiries from Spanish-speaking constituents and support the compliance team during high-volume election periods.

The position is temporary full-time in Houston, TX, with standard hours of 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Ability to learn and understand election terms.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Willing to travel to other locations as needed.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review all election materials in Spanish for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with ballot proofing including Logic & Accuracy Testing.
• Collaborate with coding team on ballot translations and IVR recordings.
• Provide language assistance to Spanish-speaking constituents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Elections Department.
