Monticello Public Schools seeks a Teacher / Long Term Substitute for Spanish (Middle School) and English Learner (Secondary). This temporary full-time position runs August 24, 2026 through September 30, 2026, with duties spanning middle school Spanish and EL support, plus high school EL programming.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a Minnesota Teaching License in Spanish and/or EL. Reports to the Building Principal and supports CLR initiatives and district goals.

General Summary: This position will have two sections of middle school Spanish, one section of middle school EL Math support and the balance of the assignment will be at high school EL programing.

License / Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required.


• Valid Minnesota Teaching License Spanish and / or EL license.

Reports to:Building Principal

• Understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards for content area


• Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district


• Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning


• Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families


• Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
