Job summary

Monticello High School seeks a licensed EL and Spanish teacher to provide full-time direct service for secondary multilingual learners.

Required: Minnesota secondary teaching license; EL license preferred; knowledge of Minnesota standards; commitment to culturally responsive teaching and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Licensed to teach at the secondary level in Minnesota.
• EL license preferred.
• Understanding of Minnesota Academic Standards for content area.
• Experience with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) approaches preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time direct service for secondary multilingual learners.
• Establishes a learning culture aligned with the district mission and strategic plan.
• Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning.
• Maintains confidentiality of information about students, staff and families.
• Collaborates with families and diverse student groups to support multilingual learners.

• Current secondaryteaching license for the State of Minnesota
• EL License preferred
• Understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards for content area

• Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
• Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
