Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks an Engineering Technician C to support the Operations Test Group in Fort Wayne, IN. You will assist with assembly, integration, and test of spaceflight hardware from low to high complexity, in a procedure-driven environment.

Ideal candidates will perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, equipment setup, and provide coverage for 24/7 test operations when required. Willingness to travel up to 30% and capability to obtain US security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary with 2+ years related experience.
• Experience operating bench-top test equipment in a procedure-driven environment.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support subsystem-level and payload-level testing of electrical, mechanical, optical, and cable harness assemblies.
• Execute test activities per approved procedures and safety requirements.
• Operate and maintain test equipment and configurations; troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Coordinate with test engineering, facilities, EHS, quality, vendors, and program teams to resolve problems.
