Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to drive verification and integration & test across the lifecycle for space equipment, including spacecraft buses and payload integration. You will lead an IPT with cross-functional teams and coordinate with stakeholders, driving test strategies and documentation.

The role requires expertise in SI&T, systems engineering leadership, and experience across design, analysis, manufacturing, and test, with travel up to 15% and security-clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of engineering experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience of System Integration and Test (SI&T), large system engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification and test efforts across the product lifecycle, including inception, requirements review, test case development, test architecture, integration, production support, and final sell-off.
• Provide technical direction and integration leadership to reduce risk and improve execution.
• Communicate effectively with engineering leadership, program management, manufacturing, quality, and customer stakeholders.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support growth of SI&T capability.
• Direct support personnel in system test and integration tasks for Space Vehicles and Payloads.
• Scope Electrical Ground Support Equipment and Test Software, including Test Beds, Test Sets, and automation tools.
• Develop and maintain Test Documentation (Test Requirements, Test Design, Test Plans, Test Procedures).
• Travel to support integration activities and post-delivery support (~15%).
