Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Engineer II–IV to join the Test Operations Maintenance team at Launch Site One in Van Horn, TX. You will develop maintenance plans, write instructions, and enable safe activation of facility upgrades for rocket engine and component testing.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting design for maintainability, with travel to other Blue Origin sites as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience in test, propulsion, industrial, energy, or hardware-rich environments.
• Fundamentals in fluids and thermodynamics; able to analyze data and recommend dispositions.

Responsibilities

• Write maintenance work instructions for test facility hardware.
• Define preventative maintenance for test facility hardware.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support functional testing of components (valves, filters, regulators, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repair efforts.
• Participate in test readiness and risk assessment reviews.
